Default Bison Tournament Build

Just thought I'd throw out a build I like to play around with....

Grenths Balance [E]
Distracting Blow
Brawling Headbutt
Finish Him!
Flurry
Healing Signet
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
Savage Slash

The tactic is basically grenths the target, then Finish Him! Distracting and Savage are obviously interrupt. i use a zealous blade, and with flurry, my energy is usually always enough (base energy 30). The dwarf and vanguard skill are just there...

The build was designed to counter those annoying anti melee builds and builds where no amount of hacking and slashing would help (stoneflesh aura from Vekk with mystic regen is no fun.....). I haven't come across the 55 monk, but vamp gaze looks fun =]

This build is unorthodox, but I do well against everyone in the Norn tourney except for the interrupt ranger.

Sounds pretty neat; I'll try this out when I can...

Flurry? Why not Flail?

i only have the IAS for the zealous effect. i also dislike the slow effect with flail, and there are those aoe's. the dmg from regular attacks isn't as important as the energy gained, so I chose flurry. Frenzy can be used too, serving as an IAS and armor debuff so you can throw Grenths Balance faster.

I was playing around with spoil victor earlier, but Magni has Purge Signet so hexes are out the door T.T

There are only two builds I can't beat with this: the RaO Thumper and the Interrupt ranger. The Thumper should be cake, but when disrupting lunge hits your Grenths Balance, gg

Definately a different approach to the tourny. Personally I find my Riposte build works vs everything in the tourney, although Eve can be a real pain as can Gwen.

But then your wasting 5 energy every 5 seonds to keep flurry up, do you see what your doing there?

flurry is more of a filler skill, i hardly use it.

i tried touching my way to farm those bison tokens but i can't beat magni T.T

the only skills I really use are grenths balance and finish him! with healing signet while grenths is recharging.

Dealing an additional 12.5% damage while building adrenaline at a quicker rate?

Neat build, a variation of the Brawling Headbutt strategy. I find that the Dslash variant works better though, as it can beat all opponents.

Don't we have a thread for all classes here? http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10193782
I've seen warrior builds there, too. This isn't really a warrior build for general use, only for that quest, so I feel it should be there.

Build looks alright, but I prefer mine, or rather, Lamda's Grenth's/Riposte build slightly modified for the tourney.

edit: I like Flail, but Flurry with a zealous weapon is a legitimate choice if you are worried about slowdown. Also, see Racthoh's post.

Toucher works fine. Either take D-shot for his Bear form, or kite him until it's gone. Once he is out of bear form, you can proceed to touch him to death normally.

I found that probably the best build to take in the tourney is my burning arrow build.

Burning Arrow [E]
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Apply Poison
Mending Touch
Natural Stride
Pin Down
Troll Unguent

This seems to be the best strategy to go at it:

Prep up (apply poison) when the timer is counting down. then run in as fast as you can (hoping to beat him to getting his form up) and send a d shot. its a win win situation. if you d shot his form, it'll be a faster win, if you dont, your poison will make him wanna use purge signet. let him use it. immediately after he does, switch to a crippling bow and use pin down. kite, hit him with burning arrow, keep apply up, when he's cleaned himself with purge signet, pin him down again. if you do this right (and you're not a noob at ranger) you'll win everytime. I currently have a 200+ flawless streak against him with my ranger.

Is that a viable Warrior primary build though? You realize which forum you're in.

It's only there because an empty slot is worse. The build really doesn't need it. Once you've beaten the tournament once, replace it with "Finish Him!". It's not included in this video cause I intended it to be used even for first time entrants.

Note that no ranks are needed in the Norn Title track to make this work, but like Signet of Strength it speeds it up by a marginal amount.
